To help former students of King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon to keep in touch with the School, the town and each other to the mutual benefit of all.
Stratford-upon-Avon Old Edwardians would like to extend a warm invitation to all former students of the School to join its Association, which exists to help former students of K.E.S. to keep in contact with one another and with the School. The Association (previously known as King Edward VI Old Boys’ Association [KESOBA]) has a long history and is several hundred strong. We offer a wide range of facilities and services for our members and to the School. Members are kept in touch with the School through the annual edition of The Stratfordian as well as more frequent newsletters.
Stratford Old Edwardians has its own website, www.kesoea.org.uk, with details of activities and links to other useful sites related to the School and the town of Stratford. An annual reunion dinner is held in the Levi Fox Hall at the School in September and represents an opportunity not only to rekindle old friendships but also to meet other past students in a relaxed and convivial environment. You may decide to make up a party or attend by yourself, but we will always arrange for you to sit with those you might specify or those of your “year”. Old Edwardians are invited to attend School events including Benefactors’ Day, the Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations and concerts and plays performed by the School during the year.
The Association’s mission is: to help past students of King Edward VI School in Stratford-upon-Avon to keep in touch with the School, the town and each other to the mutual benefit of all. The Association helps and supports the School in many ways. Recent support includes conducting ‘mock’ interviews for Year 13 students applying for university, the provision of rugby and cricket team sports shields for the Levi Fox Hall, financing a Speech Day prize and contributions towards items for the School.
If you are presently a member of the Association and have recently moved house, please inform us of your new address. We should also be pleased to have your e-mail address. Old Edwardians and WW1 The Boys of Shakespeare’s School in the First World War tells the story of those Old Edwardians killed during the First World War.
